This Privacy Policy explains how Hido Technologies Inc., which uses the trade names HiDO and HiDO Health (“HiDO,” “we,” “us”), handles information when you visit www.hidohealth.com (the “Site”).

Information we collect on the Site

Request logs. When you visit the Site, our hosting servers record technical information that your browser sends, such as your IP address, browser type, the address of each page you request (including anything in that address, such as a code), the page that referred you, and the date and time. We use this to operate and secure the Site.

Messages you send us. The contact form opens your own email program with your message addressed to contact@hidohealth.com. The Site does not store what you type; we receive only the email you choose to send.

Meeting scheduling. Meetings are booked through Calendly, which is embedded on some pages. When a Calendly scheduler is shown, Calendly receives your IP address and browser information and may set its own cookies. The details you enter, such as your name, email address and the reason for the meeting, are collected by Calendly and shared with us so we can arrange the meeting. Calendly’s privacy policy applies to the information Calendly collects.

Videos. Some videos on the Site are hosted on YouTube. When you play one, YouTube may set cookies and collect information under Google’s privacy policy.

App links. Some pages show a code from an email or text message so you can enter it in the HiDO app. Like other page addresses, these codes can appear in our request logs.

HiDO does not set cookies or use analytics or advertising tools on the Site. Embedded services such as Calendly and YouTube may set their own cookies when they load.

How we use and share information

We use the information above to respond to you, arrange meetings, operate and secure the Site, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site and respond to you (such as our hosting, email and scheduling providers), when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of HiDO and others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to the information transferred.

We keep Site messages and meeting requests for as long as we need them to respond to you and to keep business records, and request logs for a limited period to operate and secure the Site.

The HiDO pillbox and apps

This policy covers the Site only. The HiDO pillbox and apps collect other information, including a short video with audio of each dose and images of the member’s face used for Face ID. When we provide services to a health plan or health care provider, we handle that information as their business associate under HIPAA. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no method of sending or storing information over the internet is completely secure. Please do not send health information through the Site’s contact form or by regular email.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them through the Site.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you from your use of the Site by contacting privacy@hidohealth.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. We will not treat you differently for exercising them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will post a notice on the Site.
